The Lumber River Council of Governments, a regional planning and service agency serving Bladen, Hoke, Richmond, Robeson and Scotland Counties, is seeking a digital educator. This position performs general administrative support, coordination, and education on digital technology to the general public under the Digital Champion Grant. Associates Degree in Computer Technology, Human Services, Business, Education or a closely related field. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Technology, Human Services, Business, Education or a closely related field. Demonstrated knowledge in computer operations, internet utilization, and email. Prefer experience in teaching, tutoring, or community outreach and familiarity with digital inclusion and accessibility practices. Must be able to pass a background check, possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. This position will involve substantial in region travel and will primarily work at various community based facilities, such as libraries, community centers, senior centers, and town halls. Some evening and weekend work may be required. This is a time-limited position expected to end no later than December 2026.
